Development of the city has greatly changed the cityscape with Condo’s and now a theater-bowling alley along with the annual “dream cruise” and now Art’s, Beat’s, and Eats. All of these have left us with the good, bad, and or indifferent. Those most effected are the immediate surrounding residents and businesses. I think our Mayor and board has made the right decision in asking Kroger to make some key changes and bring it back to them in July. Keeping competition away from our favorite markets will not guarantee these markets will always be there for us. ROYAL OAK -- Kroger will return to the drawing board and reconfigure plans for a new store just a block north of the downtown so that it fronts Main Street and solves a problem of delivery trucks stacking up on a dead-end side
The center's owner, DLC Management of Oak Brook, is rebuilding and redesigning the mall, located on the city's west side at Wing Street and McLean Boulevard. Spaces along nearby Weston Avenue are being torn down, allowing parking all around the center.
