"Too Many Concerts" Reason For Denying Red Hot Chili Peppers National Stadium
The large number of concerts and its impact on the new installations of the Estadio Nacional (National Stadium) was the argument used by the Instituto Costarricense del Deporte y la Recreación (Icoder) - Costa Rican Institute of Sport and Recreation - to deny the American band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, a concert date in Colossus in La Sabana.
Luis Peraza, director of the Icoder, said that protecting the new facilities, especially the athletics track, is their principal objective and for such decided not to give Evenpro, the promoter for the band, permission to use the stadium.
