HAMPTON — Police on Monday at Shirt Mania at Hampton Beach seized hundreds of what authorities are calling knock-off, unlicensed clothing products, including shirts and other apparel bearing the Boston Bruins logo.

Authorities executed a search warrant at the 81 Ocean Blvd. store after police received a complaint filed by a private investigation firm hired by the National Hockey League, National Basketball League, Major League Baseball and the National Football League.

The complaint claims the store has been selling unlicensed goods manufactured on the premises.

Hampton Police Lt. Dan Gidley on Tuesday said the case is still under investigation and that an arrest will be forthcoming.

The manufacturing and sale of counterfeit goods is a Class A misdemeanor offense in the state under RSA 638:6-b, Dealing in Counterfeit Goods.

The investigator working for the professional sports leagues had bought goods at the store, according to Gidley.

"They went in and actually purchased some of the stuff," he said. "They then went back and confirmed that it was counterfeit and they approached the police department and advised us about the violation of law."

The police department applied for and received a search warrant and executed it at about 10 a.m. Monday, Gidley said.

Officers seized "hundreds" of clothing items adorned with sports team logos with prices ranging from $15 to $20, Gidley said. "A lot of it was Bruins stuff with them being in the playoffs."

The Boston Bruins beat the Vancouver Canuks on Wednesday night to win the NHL's Stanley Cup.

Detectives also confiscated a heat press, which police believe was used to transfer the sports team logos onto the apparel.

Gidley said hundreds of additional clothing items and press-on images were seized after authorities determined the goods were counterfeit.

Some of the clothes bear logos for Corona and Coors beers, Jack Daniel's, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the New York Yankees, among other insignias.

Gidley said the shirts will probably end up being destroyed.

Wilpon’s vision came to life in 2008, when all MLB players and coaches wore the caps on Memorial Day, July 4th and September 11th.
