So how did you like the first post of the Wedding Countdown?! I really do hope you found that guestbook idea to be a helpful idea!

This week I wanted to share a quickie idea… my friends’ wedding was held outdoors at the Santiago Oaks Regional Park. The parking area is just above the ceremony location, so we decided to make a cute sign to guide the guests.

The groom picked out a lovely piece of redwood and cut out a really nice arrow and then my hubby  drew their initials and painted them in with white (outlined in blue). Isn’t it lovely?

Granted we lucked out that the groom had the skills to cut the wood, but if you do not have access to this type of skill you can do a couple of things. You could use a regular square or rectangle piece of wood or you could even run to lowes or a craft store and check out what shapes they may have already cut out.

(FYI, to adhere the sign to the stick, the men used a wood glue and then placed a very heavy object on top overnight and it help perfectly!)

BEST PART: The cute couple get to take this sign home and keep it out in their garden!
