Sunday, June 19, at 2 p.m.: A celebration of the publication of "The War We Knew," a new collection of stories and essays by the residents of the Riverwoods community. Sharing from their experiences will be Spencer Martin and Monty Scharff, authors of two of the essays in the book, and Katherine Southworth and Marilyn Wentworth, co-editors and authors.

Monday, June 20, at 7 p.m.: Eleanor Henderson reads from and signs her critically acclaimed new novel "Ten Thousand Saints." Henderson delivers a sweeping, multigenerational drama that reveals the tangled emotional stitching — and tearing — of births, deaths, loves and losses that shape these families. Set in the 1980s, this coming-of-age story is an odyssey encompassing the age of CBGB, Hare Krishnas, zines, and the emergence of AIDS. Tuesday, June 21, at 7 p.m.: Courtney Sullivan will be at RiverRun to present her new novel, "Maine." Three generations of women converge on the family beach house in this wickedly funny, emotionally resonant story of love and dysfunction from the author of the bestselling debut novel "Commencement." Wednesday, June 22, at 7 p.m.: Michael Sims will discuss the eccentric life of E.B. White. "The Story of Charlotte's Web" gives us the history behind one of the most beloved books of the 20th century and the real-life spiders and pigs that inspired him. Tuesday, June 28, at 7 p.m.: Mark DeCarteret and Ewa Chrusciel. Two great poets meet up at RiverRun Bookstore on June 28. Chrusciel's poems and translations have appeared in many books, anthologies and magazines in Poland, England, Italy, and the United States, including The Boston Review, The Colorado Review, and Aufgabe, Jubilat, Spoon River Review. She is a professor of humanities at Colby-Sawyer College. Mark DeCarteret is the former (though never retiring) Portsmouth Poet Laureate. He will be reading from "Flap," his fifth collection of poems, newly published by Finishing Line Press. Thursday, June 30, at 7 p.m.: Meg Mitchell Moore reads from her novel "The Arrivals." In the book, Ginny and William's peaceful lives in Vermont come to an abrupt halt as their children and grandchildren descend one summer with an assortment of adult problems. By summer's end, the family gains new ideas of loyalty and responsibility, exposing the challenges of surviving the modern family — and the old adage, once a parent, always a parent, has never rung so true.
